Love for Valentine’s Day 2019!

The residents enjoyed our Valentine’s Day celebrations on Thursday 14th February, including music from Sunset Duo – a husband and wife musical couple who often play at Windlesham Manor, on this occasion they played a variety of well-known romantic tunes.

We wish it could be Christmas every day!

Windlesham Manor residents enjoyed a gorgeous Christmas lunch with family and friends on December 19th. Staff got into the festive spirit by dressing as elves and the spacious lounge area was decorated brightly in Christmas colours!

Later in the afternoon residents were entertained by Pamela Marsh, a local singer performing a range of Christmas favourites.

The Meeting of “Bookend Generations”

Windlesham Manor is trialling weekly “Toddler and Residents” sessions organised by Crowborough group Artytime.

It is becoming more widely accepted that both older and younger generations can benefit from these sorts of interactions, which can be life affirming for the elder generation and a chance for the younger generation to benefit from increased attention and develop their social and emotional skills.

The sessions will last about an hour and a half and toddlers and infants will play and interact with the residents as well as do some simple crafts and have a snack together.
