Stepping through the front door the first thing that strikes is the lovely fragrant air and the cosy, country hotel feel this charming house exudes.
The team is run by Peter Granström, the Manager, alongside the hands-on owners Sue and Simon Carey in whose family the house has been for over 40 years.
As one wanders through one of the light and airy sitting rooms the peace is interrupted by one of many activities arranged for the residents on any particular day. The management and staff have a strong belief that regular activities provide not only physical stimulation but an equally important social context in which the residents can interact. Judging by the smiles and merriment it would seem to apply at Windlesham Manor.
The extensive gardens are lovely just to stroll in with the gardening club keen not be outdone by the flower arranging club and their wonderful displays of blooms. With all this activity it is quite reassuring to see the contentment on the faces of the residents whilst resting in their chairs in the conservatory.
