Our Care
Activities
An important part of life at Windlesham Manor is our activities programme. Our activities co-ordinator Sarah plans a daily set of activities every week which has the variety to have something to interest everyone. These activities not only exercise our residents’ minds and bodies but are also an important part of socialising within the home and building the community that makes Windlesham so special.
On joining Windlesham, we discover what activities each resident is interested in and if we don’t already have an activity or a club then we try to cater to those interests as best we can. The bulk of our programme is Monday to Friday and includes activities and entertainment.
Special Occasions & Events
In addition to our clubs and activities, Windlesham is famed for holding amazing themed events throughout the year. These include our Easter and Christmas festivities, a summer garden party, royal celebrations, sporting events and even a virtual bake off – please browse our Windlesham Times for a closer look. We are always open to any ideas that residents, relatives and staff have for our next event as we don’t need much of an excuse to celebrate!

Communication
Here at Windlesham, we pride ourselves on listening to our residents, relatives and staff. We have a named carer for each resident, offering a useful point of call for relatives, and our manager, Peter, is always happy to field any questions too.

Regular Updates
Our marketing communications co-ordinator, Jenna, sends out our ‘Windlesham Times’ as a seasonal event update which reviews what kept our lovely residents busy and entertained for the past season. Through this, loved ones can keep in touch with what is happening at Windlesham. To find out more, please click on our Latest News tab and see the Windlesham Times for yourself.
Monthly Residents Meetings
We also hold monthly meetings with our residents about activities, food, and any other business, and actively listen to staff and relatives. We want to give the best care we can, so we want to have feedback so that we can learn and change anything required to achieve this.

Special Occasion Meals
We vary our menus according to the seasonal produce available, and our chef works closely with the activities team to provide fantastic food for any events that we might be holding, such as for our Henley Royal Regatta and Sausage Tasting events. Additionally, fresh cakes are made for afternoon tea, which is served either in our conservatory or in our residents’ rooms. Friends and relatives are welcome to join for lunch, although we do require prior notice, and at times it may not be possible to accommodate guests.

Assistance with eating
Where necessary, we provide assistance with eating so that our residents can eat in a comfortable and dignified manner, and enjoy our tasty and nutritious food fully. We hold regular feedback meetings with our residents so that their needs are fully met
