First and foremost this month we want to express our love and respect for Her Majesty The Queen. Both Staff and Residents were saddened by the news. Along with the country we watched the live footage of the funeral and paid our respects to Her Majesty. Despite the sad news of her death we thought it was also important to celebrate her life and remember her amazing achievements.
On Tuesday 20th September, the day after the funeral we held a tasteful celebratory high tea, fit for a Queen! We enjoyed an array of delicious cakes and of course lots of tea! Roger Channing performed for us singing and playing his Guitar. It felt like an appropriate way to mark an incredible reign and celebrate an amazing woman and figurehead. A moment in history, which we hopefully celebrated and marked appropriately.
Our Art club remembered Her Majesty by sketching her in a traditional portrait fashion. The results as always were incredible, well done to all our resident artists.
